Slab Work - slabs are rolled out, decorated with your own patterns, left to harden a little, then Lynette will help you put them together to form the finished article. Demonstrations are given to help you Coil Work - Coil pots are built up using strips of clay joined together then smoothed out, all sorts of shapes can be achieved, then decorated. Mould Work - Moulds can be used as the basis for bowls and platters etc. How to texture and glaze work - Glazes are applied after the first firing to produce your unique colours, texture and finish This knowledge will culminate in making a platter, a dish and little milk jug or mug. All the work is made from slabs , coils, press moulds - not throwing on a wheel. This means that anyone, whatever their skill level can make interesting and beautiful work.
