ZULU-LULU™ GOES FISHY WITH ‘SAWUBONA FISH !’..
First in a series of ‘invited artist’ exhibitions
When Trayci Tompkins of Zulu-lulu™  first discovered the new work of Durban ceramic artist Lynette Morris-hale she knew this would form an exciting collaboration and launch the first of a series of  ‘invited artists’ exhibitions at her ceramic boutique in Lions River.
The plan to showcase Morris-hale’s utterly irresistible and quirky clay fish platters was delayed until this month whilst she completed an order of 100 individual platters for the world famous Anthropologie stores across the USA and UK.
The story behind the inspiration of her now famous fish platters is a quirky one in itself.. and she gives credit to the rather handsome man who approached her at an exhibition and commissioned the first of her ‘crusty friends’ that now decorate walls across the globe. As is the way with artistic story telling, these hanging fish platters in turn inspired Tompkins to produce her one-of-a-kind fisherman figurines and affordable limited edition terracotta bowls designed specifically for this themed exhibition.
“I relate to work that makes me smile” chuckles Tompkins “so we have included Tim Dlamini’s  well known trout fisherman busts and the very new colourful ‘amaGoldfish’ busts into this ‘Sawubona Fish !’ display. Be sure not to miss it. !”

Zulu-lulu™ ceramic boutique is located in the popular Piggly Wiggly centre on the R103 in Lions River. Contact 083 6273491 for more details
